Marriott International is to debut in Finland in 2013, with a 272-room property close to Helsinki in the city of Espoo.
The 18-storey Helsinki Marriott Hotel will be run under a franchise agreement with Scandinavian Hospitality Management Espoo OY, and will feature 10,500 square feet of meeting space, an executive lounge, business centre, health club and indoor swimming pool.

Espoo is located to the west of Helsinki on the shore of the Gulf of Finland, and is one of the most affluent cities in the Helsinki Metropolitan Area. The hotel will be situated ten minutes from the capital’s city centre, and around one kilometre from the commercial districts of Tapiola and Keilaniemi.
Marriott has a growing portfolio of properties in the Nordic countries, including Renaissance and Courtyard properties in Sweden, and a Marriott-branded hotel in the Danish capital Copenhagen.
