Marriott relaunches UK loyalty credit card

Marriott has relaunched its Rewards credit card for UK customers, having ended its tie-up with the Halifax / Bank of Scotland earlier this year (see online news August 31).
The World Mastercard credit card from Marriott Rewards offers cardholders 10,000 bonus points for those spending £200 in the first six months, along with two points for every £1 spent at Marriott International hotels, one point for every pound spent elsewhere, and double points for purchases made abroad.
As an example, 10,000 points is enough for a one-night stay at a category two Marriott property, or a one night-stay at a category three property under the scheme’s Point Savers promotions.
The card is provided by Laser UK, and has a representative APR of 16.9 per cent. No interest is charged on balance transfers for the first 12 months (providing they are transferred within 90 days of account opening).
