Published: 07/12/2012 - Filed under: News »
Lufthansa is to launch a six times-weekly service between Glasgow and Dusseldorf from next April.
The route will be operated by subsidiary Eurowings, using CRJ 900 aircraft.
Business Traveller was alerted to the news by industry website airlineroute.net, and having checked the carrier’s website can confirm that flights are now available for reservation for departures from April 8.
The route will operate daily except Thursday (increasing to daily between June 27 and September 4), departing Glasgow at 1230 (1055 on Sunday), and returning from Dusseldorf at 1110 (0935 on Sunday).
There are currently no direct, non-stop flights between Glasgow and the capital of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia.

North Rhine-Westphalia is not a region but a state.
