Lufthansa plans A350 routes from Munich to Delhi and Boston

Lufthansa has published more details on its forthcoming Airbus A350-900 fleet, which will begin operating from January 2017. The German carrier says it will base its first ten A350s at Munich airport, with Delhi and Boston “expected to be the first destinations”. Lufthansa A350-900 Lufthansa will not offer a first class cabin on the new-generation Airbus aircraft. Instead they will be configured with 48 business class seats, 21 in premium economy and 224 in economy, for a total of 293 seats. The carrier’s A350-900s will gradually replace Lufthansa’s A340-600 fleet – the airline has a total of 25 A350s on order, and says that “The deployment of the remaining 15 aircraft has yet to be decided”.
