Eligible Miles and More members and business class passengers can now take advantage of the newly renovated Business and Senator Lounge in the non-Schengen area of Terminal 2 at Munich Airport.
The Senator lounge (pictured below) has been extended by 200sqm to accommodate a separate quiet room and 100 extra seats.
Business class passengers and frequent travellers will also notice a newly designed and extended Business lounge.
The Business lounge has a cream colour scheme with leather sofas lining each wall and tall tables with leather cushioned bar stools. The room is spacious and bright with wooden flooring and offers free wifi, plenty of power points, a selection of national and international press and a range of hot and cold food and drink.
Emphasis has been placed on local Bavarian specialities such as sausages, goulash soup and Leberkäs mit Brezn (Bavarian meat loaf with a pretzel) sauerkraut and potato salad, as well as sparkling wine, a selection of Bavarian beers by the bottle and on draft and other non-alcoholic hot and cold drinks.
There are also showers and lockers available. Boarding calls are not made however there is one departures screen on entry to the lounge.
The Senator lounge features a bar with a working bartender to serve customers a range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, cocktails and specialist coffees.
Lufthansa provides a total of six lounges in Terminal 2 as well as a café with a total floor space of about 5,000sqm. In addition to the newly designed Senator and Business Lounge in the non-Schengen departure area, passengers have access to the Senator and Business Lounge and the Senator Café in the Schengen departure area.
