London’s Franklin Hotel to unveil refurb

The Franklin Hotel in London’s Knightsbridge is set to reopen this August, following renovation works.

The new interiors have been created by New Zealand-born hotelier and designer Anouska Hempel, with design features including grey limestone and Carrara marble flooring, and Italian velvets and silks.

There are 35 rooms including a 63 sqm Presidential suite, overlooking Egerton Gardens close to the Victoria and Albert and Natural History museums.

The Franklin

Facilities include an Italian restaurant, and champagne and martini bar, as well as a hammam and gym.

The property is part of Starhotels, a Florentine-based group comprising of 29 hotels including The Gore and The Pelham in London, The Castile in Paris, The Michelangelo in New York, and the Rosa Grand in Milan.

Rates start from £360 room-only, with a promotional opening rate for a junior suite of £650.
