London City amends pick-up fee

London City has made changes to its charge for private cars picking up from the airport, following feedback on the enforcement of a £7.50 fee. The airport recently started directing private cars (including Uber) to use its short-stay car park for pick ups, rather than the drop off area, effectively introducing a £7.50 charge (see news March 16). But a spokesperson for London City has now confirmed to Business Traveller that "In response to feedback, we have now introduced a new tariff for 0-10 minutes at £2.50".
