Dutch carrier KLM will fly three times-weekly to the Zambian capital from May 15 next year, using A330-200 aircraft.

The Amsterdam-Lusaka route will operate on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, departing Schiphol at 1230 and arriving at 2210, with the return leg leaving at 2355 and landing back in Amsterdam at 0955 the following day.

KLM’s A330-200 aircraft will be configured for 243 passengers, with 30 in World Business Class and 213 in economy.

BA also offers a three times-weekly service from Heathrow to Lusaka using B767 aircraft, and Emirates recently announced a new route to the Zambian capital (continuing onto Harare in Zimbabwe) from February next year (see online news September 21).
