Kempinski to manage The Stafford London
Published: 08/02/2010 - Filed under: News »
Luxury hotel group Kempinski has re-entered the London market with a management agreement with The Stafford Hotel in London.
Kempinski has been without a London property in its portfolio since The Bentley in South Kensington and the Courthouse on Great Marlborough Street (both owned by the Surejogi Group) were debranded in 2008 (see online news March 12, 2008).
Unlike these hotels, the Stafford will actually be managed by Kempinski, and has changed its name to The Stafford Hotel by Kempinski (as of February 1). The luxury hotel is located between Green Park and St James’s Park, and features 105 rooms across three buildings, including the recently-added Stafford Mews.
Kempinski says that the hotel’s public areas, guest floor corridors and 24 rooms in the Main House will be renovated by the end of 2011 “to enhance the traditional comfort combined with modern amenities”.
