Businesstraveller.com compiles romantic stories from the world of business travel. This week: Swissotel The Howard, BA, Four Seasons, Andaz Liverpool St, The Rome Cavalieri.

Mr write

Swissotel's The Howard property by London’s Embankment is offering Valentine’s guests the chance to immortalise their relationship in a fairytale book. Professional writer Susanne Ulke will pen the story of your romance, with the package also including a six-course menu in the hotel's restaurant. Rumours that the hotel has taken a reservation for a room with eight beds under the name S White are unfounded.

On the cards

BA’s Metrotwin website is to give out Valentine’s cards to passengers travelling on its London to New York route this Saturday. The social networking site, which twins the two cities in a virtual setting, will hand out cards which contain ideas for single travellers on what to get up to when they land in town. So it really is a case of love is in the air.

Four Seasons in five years

The Four Seasons Hampshire is wooing guests to its hotel this Valentine’s by placing them in a grand draw to win no less than five free stays at the property. The lucky winner and guest will get to stay free of charge at the hotel every Valentine’s Day for the next five years. Commitment phobes need not apply.

Love film

Hyatt’s Andaz hotel is running another of its popular Silent Cinema sessions on Saturday, with a showing of the epic romance Casablanca. Customers get to watch the film wearing noise-cancelling headphones to avoid interference from other guests – so if your other half proves too chatty during the film you may find the phrase “Quite frankly my dear I can’t hear a word” useful.

On song

Hilton’s Waldorf Astoria Collection property The Rome Cavalieri is offering a Valentine’s stay for music lovers this weekend. The Valentine’s Weekend Break includes transfers in a vintage Rolls Royce Silver Spur, Tiffany and Co crystal gifts, and a tenor singing arias to your loved one as you enter the hotel. The package costs from €980, so excuse me while i go and apply for another credit card...
