Jumeirah is to debrand its property in Rome at the end of this month.
The 122-room Grand Hotel via Veneto has been part of the Jumeirah portfolio since 2012 (see news December 2011), but will become an independent property from February 1.
In a statement Jumeirah said:
“Jumeirah Group is working with the hotel’s owner to ensure a seamless transition to re-establish the hotel as an independent operation.
“As a result of this change, it will no longer be possible to collect or exchange Jumeirah Sirius Points or receive any Jumeirah Sirius membership benefits at the hotel from 1st February onwards.
“Existing bookings for stays before 1st February 2016 will of course be honoured.”
Jumeirah currently operates five other European hotels – Jumeirah Carlton Tower and Jumeirah Lowndes Hotel in London, Jumeirah Frankfurt (for a review click here), Jumeirah Port Soller Hotel in Mallorca (for a review click here), and Pera Palace Hotel Jumeirah in Istanbul.
The group also manages Grosvenor House Apartments – a luxury serviced apartments development on London’s Park Lane.
