Jet2 adds Newcastle routes to Rome and Venice

Jet2 will commence four new routes from Newcastle to Bodrum, Rome, Reus and Venice next year, bringing the total number of routes served from the airport to 27.
The low-cost carrier will fly three times-weekly to Venice from May 31, twice-weekly to Rome from the same date, twice-weekly to Reus in Spain from June 1, and weekly to Bodrum from June 4.
Headquartered at Leeds Bradford airport, Jet2 says it has had a record year at Newcastle, carrying half a million passengers, a 56 per cent increase on 2010. Next summer the carrier will offer a total of 27 destinations from the airport.
There are currently no scheduled, non-stop flights between Newcastle and any of the new routes announced by Jet2.
