Jet introduces online check-in for international passengers
Published: 01/06/2008 - Filed under: News »
Passengers flying with Jet Airways from London, Singapore, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok and Brussels can now check in for their flight online.
Previously only available on domestic routes, the facility now allows international passengers on selected routes to check in, select their seat, and print boarding passes.
Premium passengers benefit most from the new service, with First and Premiere (business) class passengers, as well as JetPrivilege Platinum and Gold members able to check in up to 48 hours prior to the departure of their flights.
JetPrivilege Silver and Blue Plus members can use the service up to 24 hours before their flight, while all remaining passengers must wait until 12 hours before departure to check in.
Jet says it also plans to “progressively introduce Web Check-in facilities on its North American and other international routes”.
The carrier recently commenced its first transpacific route from Mumbai to San Francisco, via Shanghai (see online news March 26). For more information visit jetairways.com.
