Japan Airlines has won a Good Design Award from the Chicago Museum of Architecture and Design... for its ergonomically-designed first class chopsticks.

Created by Satoshi Nakagawa and Tripod Design Co. Ltd, the chopsticks have been slightly narrowed near the top end, to make them easier and more comfortable to grip, particularly for elderly passengers and infrequent chopstick users.

The Good Design Awards - presented by the Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design, and the European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies – highlights innovative new product designs and graphics, with other winners including the Mini Cooper Clubman and the Dyson Airblade Hand Dryer.

What airline products would you nominate for a Good Design Award? Leave your comments bellow, or have you say on our forum.

This is good news. Japan Airlines, one of biggest Airline in Japan, faced bad management at 2005 because of many trouble about safety. But the company get good health now, so I believe Japan Airlines good job for customer.
