Japan Airlines is to serve KFC meals on board selected international flights this Christmas, to satisfy the country’s hunger for the Colonel’s secret recipe of 11 herbs and spices.
KFC is hugely popular in Japan during the festive season, with many considering it a must-have meal on Christmas Eve.
The carrier will serve a two-piece 'Air Kentucky Fried Chicken' meal on flights from Tokyo Narita to New York, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Diego, London, Paris and Frankfurt between December 1 and February 28.
The meal will consist of one chicken drumstick, one boneless chicken breast fillet, flat bread, lettuce leaves and a cup of coleslaw.
Note though that the meals will only be served in economy and premium economy, so business and first class passengers will have to get their fast-food fix on the ground.
