Intercontinental London Westminster to open in November

IHG is to open its first Intercontinental property in the UK for nearly 40 years this November.
The 256-room Intercontinental London Westminster will be located within the renovated Queen Anne’s Chambers on Broadway, opposite St James’s Park Underground station and close to New Scotland Yard and the Ministry of Justice.
The hotel will feature The Chambers Bar and Dining Room, with on-site charcoal and smoking ovens producing “rustic dishes served in a modern way”, as well as cocktail and champagne bar Emmeline’s, after political activist and leader of the suffragette movement, Emmeline Pankhurst.

Other features will include an executive lounge, 24-hour gym, a business centre and eight meeting rooms.
The Intercontinental London Westminster will join the Intercontinental London Park Lane - which was built in 1975 - as only the second property by the brand in the UK.
IHG is also set to officially unveil new Holiday Inn and Staybridge Suites properties next to the London 2012 Olympic Park in Stratford next week.
Business Traveller will be attending the launch and will post a report following the event.
