IHG launches Concierge guides for iPad
Published: 23/12/2010 - Filed under: News »
Intercontinental Hotels Group has launched a free iPad app offering guests “Insider Guides” to 120 destinations, including suggested itineraries and interactive maps.
Compiled by IHG’s Concierge teams worldwide, the new app allows users to choose destinations from a spinning globe homepage, and features video content, recommendations for morning, afternoon and evening activities, and Google Maps showing the locations of recommended shops, restaurants and local attractions.

The launch follows IHG’s initiative to equip concierges at selected properties with “content-rich iPads to enhance day-to-day interaction with hotel guests” – see online news April 6.
