Iberia pilots to stage four more days of strikes

Members of the Sepla Spanish pilots’ union have called four more days of strikes over the next two weeks, with Iberia's flights between London and Madrid among those affected.

The new strike dates are February 17, 20, 24 and 29, and follow similar action during December, January and earlier this month.

Iberia has announced which flights have been cancelled on the first three days of strike action, with routes between Heathrow and Madrid among those affected (click here for a full list of cancelled flights). The carrier says that the list of cancelled flights for February 29 will be published "within the next few days".

The Sepla union is striking over plans to create new low-cost subsidiary Iberia Express, stating that the new carrier contravenes agreements made between the union and Iberia during the merger of the Spanish airlines with British Airways.

Oneworld problems.

AA has problems. IB has problems. Malev and Mexicana are gone. QF are axing quite a few routes. Soon to join, Kingfisher Airline's already in an aircraft grounding situation.
