Hyatt House to open first property in Europe

Hyatt is to open the first European property under its extended stay Hyatt House brand next year.

The 102-apartment Hyatt House Dusseldorf will be housed within a former courthouse located in the Altstadt (old town) district of the city, close to the Rhine and high-end shops and theatres on Konigsallee.

Scheduled to open in January 2017, the hotel will feature “apartment-style kitchen suites” with fully-equipped kitchens, living rooms and bedrooms, free wifi throughout, The Commons lounge area, a gym, and flexible meeting spaces.

Guests staying 30 or more consecutive nights benefit from the Very Important Resident (VIR) programme, including “complimentary grocery shopping and other personalised perks”.

There are currently five Hyatt properties in Germany - Hyatt Hamburg, Grand Hyatt Berlin, Hyatt Regency Cologne, Hyatt Regency Düsseldorf, and Hyatt Regency Mainz.

A further two hotels are currently under development in the country - Andaz Munich, and Hyatt Place Frankfurt Airport.

Eurowings recently launched flights between East Midlands and Dusseldorf, and BA has increased its flights between London City and Dusseldorf by 50 per cent for this summer.
