Hyatt is to open a Regency property in the Russian city of Sochi, ahead of the city’s hosting of the 2014 Winter Olympics.
Hyatt already has two existing hotels in Russia – the Ararat Park Hyatt Moscow and the Hyatt Regency Ekaterinburg.
The Hyatt Regency Sochi is expected to open in later 2013, and will feature 200 rooms and suites, all day dining and speciality restaurants, a ballroom, ten meeting rooms, an outdoor swimming pool and eight spa treatment rooms.
The new-build hotel is being designed by Scottish architects RMJM, with interiors by French firm Valode and Pistre, and will be located in Sochi’s historical centre, next to the city’s seaside pedestrian zone.
Situated in western Russia on the Black Sea coast, Sochi will host the Olympic Winter Games between February 7 and 23, 2014.
