IHG's Holiday Inn brand will bring its Open Lobby concept to Manchester this April.
Opening in the city's Piccadilly area, the 298-room hotel pays homage to the city’s heritage by naming suites and function rooms after Manchester United and City football players as well as local musicians.
The hotel features Holiday Inn’s signature "Open Lobby" concept which combines a restaurant, Starbucks Café, business centre and lounge. Guests also have access to complimentary wifi throughout the hotel.
Furnishings vary from room to room, but all standard and executive rooms include DVD/CD players and 40-inch LCD Smart HD televisions.
Meeting spaces include terrace areas, Bose sound systems, Barco ClickShare wireless presentation technologies and HDMI/VGA functionality.
Situated next to Piccadilly Station, guests have access to transportation, nightlife, the National Football Museum, Imperial War Museum and other city sights.
IHG is also due to open a dual-branded Crowne Plaza and Staybridge Suites property in Manchester this year (see news March 2015). The hotels will be located on Oxford Rd as part of Manchester University's £1 billion campus development.
