Hilton Worldwide will add the Hilton London Southbank and Hampton by Hilton London Waterloo to its growing presence in the capital.
The 281-room Hilton property will be located next to the Neo Bankside residential development behind the Tate Modern, and is scheduled to open in 2012. Facilities will include a four-storey glass atrium, 31 suites, an executive lounge, LivingWell fitness centre, swimming pool, over 1,000sqm of meeting space, and a restaurant, bar and café at the front of the property.
London’s first Hampton by Hilton property is set to open in 2013, and will be located close to Waterloo station on the site of Partnership House. The hotel will feature 278 rooms, with facilities including complimentary hot breakfast, a 24-hour snack area, and an evening bar.
The new properties join the recently-opened Waldorf Astoria hotel within Syon Park (see online news March 15), and the forthcoming Hilton London Heathrow Terminal Five (see online news May 3).
With the addition of the Hampton offering, Hilton will be represented by five of its brands in greater London – Hilton Hotels and Resorts, Waldorf Astoria, Doubletree by Hilton, Hilton Garden Inn and Hampton by Hilton, as well as the unbranded The Trafalgar overlooking Trafalgar Square, and the Waldorf Hilton in Aldwych.
