Hilton opens in Bogota and Nanjing

16 Nov 2011 by BusinessTraveller

Hilton Worldwide has opened its first Hilton Hotels and Resorts properties in the Colombian capital Bogota, and the Chinese city Nanjing.

Located in the city’s financial district, the 15-storey Hilton Bogota features 245 rooms, an executive floor and lounge, a signature restaurant with street access, a four-level bar and lounge looking onto the hotel’s heated outdoor pool and hanging garden wall, a fitness centre and a 5,000 square foot ballroom.

Strictly speaking the hotel marks the return of Hilton Hotels and Resorts to the Colombian capital, as the group has previously operated a Hilton-branded hotel in the city some years ago. Hilton Bogota joins the group’s Cartagena property as the second Hilton-branded hotel in Colombia.

Meanwhile Hilton has opened the first of two hotels in the Chinese city of Nanjing. The 355-room Hilton Nanjing comprises part of the Nanjing Wanda Plaza, and is located around 40 kilometres from Nanjing Lukou International Airport and three kilometres from Nanjing International Expo Centre.

There are six F&B outlets including two Chinese restaurants and Library, a bar with live entertainment. Meeting facilities include a 1,200sqm ballroom, seven meeting rooms and a business centre.

Hilton Nanjing Riverside is due to open later this year, and will be located in the city’s Xiaquan district.
