Hilton opens fourth Manhattan property

The Tudor Hotel New York has been rebranded as the Hilton Manhattan East, making it the fourth Hilton property within the New York borough.
The 300-room hotel is located on the corner of 42nd Street and 2nd Avenue, and is housed within a 1930s neo-gothic tower. The property has recently completed a renovation programme, with guestrooms having been refurbished in 2009, followed by the lobby and bar areas.
Facilities include 42-inch flatscreen TVs in all rooms, fitness and business centres, a total of five meeting rooms, the Tudor Neighbourhood Bar and Grill, and a lobby lounge.
The hotel joins Hilton Times Square, Hilton New York and Millennium Hilton as the brand’s fourth property in Manhattan, and to celebrate the rebranding Hilton is offering special rates for standard and deluxe rooms from $599 for a two-night minimum stay, or $899 for two nights in a Terrace Suite, including a bottle of Moet & Chandon Champagne, daily breakfast for two and two Hilton Manhattan East hotel robes.

Hilton has expanded like crazy in NYC the last couple of years especially if you count all Hilton managed properties (Hampton Inn, Doubletree, Hilton Garden Inn). I just hope they keep the standards up for the brand so you know what you are getting unlike the London properties which are a quite a mixed bag.
