Hilton Worldwide will rebrand eight Mint Hotel properties under its Doubletree and Garden Inn brands, following the purchase of the portfolio by Hilton’s owning company Blackstone.
Hilton announced the acquisition of Mint Hotel in September (see online news September 19), and has now confirmed that the properties will be integrated into its full service Doubletree by Hilton and mid-market Hilton Garden Inn brands.
Mint hotels in Glasgow, Bristol and Birmingham will become Garden Inn properties, while those in Leeds, Manchester, London Westminster and Tower of London will be rebranded as Doubletree hotels, along with the recently opened Mint Hotel Amsterdam.
Patrick Fitzgibbon, senior vice president – Europe and Africa for Hilton Worldwide, said the aim was to see all eight hotels “fully integrated into our Hilton Worldwide systems in the coming weeks”.
Hilton currently operates eight Doubletree hotels in the UK, along with two Garden Inn properties.
