Hilton Worldwide has opened its fifth Doubletree hotel in London, with the rebranding of the 225-room former Hesperia London Victoria.
The Doubletree by Hilton London Victoria is situated on Bridge Place, opposite one of the side entrances to London Victoria train station, with overground services to the south of England, and underground connections via the Victoria, District and Circle lines.
The hotel has undergone “an extensive, multi-phase refurbishment project that now welcomes travellers with a refreshing, welcoming ground floor lobby space, newly redesigned dining options and a variety of new amenities and services”.
The hotel offers eight meeting rooms, a business centre, newly-designed restaurant 2 Bridge Place, and a lounge and bar with free wifi.
Note that a message on the hotel's website (as of March 5, 2012) states that "our fitness centre is currently under refurbishment, however guests may use the fitness facilities available in the adjacent property. We apologize for any inconvenience caused".
With Hilton recently rebranding eight Mint hotels under its Doubletree and Garden Inn brands (see online news November 9, 2011), the group now offers 16 Doubletree properties in the UK.
