Helvetic launches Bristol-Zurich route
Published: 04/11/2011 - Filed under: News »
Helvetic Airways is to launch a new route between Bristol and Zurich next month, adding to existing flights from Cardiff to the Swiss financial hub.
The route will operate three times-weekly, departing Zurich at 0745 on Monday, and 1155 on Wednesday and Friday, arriving at 0830 and 1245 respectively.
The return leg will leave Bristol at 1055 on Monday and 1510 on Wednesday and Friday, arriving at 1345 and 1800 respectively.
Business Traveller understands the new route will work in combination with Helvetic’s existing Cardiff-Zurich route (launched in March), with the Fokker 100 aircraft routing Cardiff-Bristol-Zurich-Bristol-Cardiff.
There are currently no direct, nonstop scheduled services between Bristol and Zurich, although Channel Islands carrier Blue Islands does offer a service between the two cities, routing via Jersey.
