Germanwings passengers can now earn Miles and More status
Published: 04/01/2012 - Filed under: News »
Germanwings has added the ability for its passengers to earn status miles with the Miles and More loyalty programme.
The Lufthansa-subsidiary has an established frequent flyer partnership with the Miles and More scheme, allowing passengers to earn and redeem award miles on Germanwings flights.
But from January 1 customers now also earn status miles towards Frequent Flyer and Senator status, at a rate of 1,000 miles for German domestic flights, and up to 1,250 miles for flights to European destinations.
Germanwings also operates its own Boomerang frequent flyer scheme independently of the Miles and More programme – passengers can choose before their flight which scheme they wish to earn miles for.
