Japanese carrier ANA has released the first images of its new cabin products which will appear on the B777-300ER serving the Tokyo-New York route from February 2010.
The images show a suite product (called ANA Suite Square) in first class, with a 23-inch touchscreen LCD TV, which ANA says is the largest in its class. Configuration will be two rows of 1-2-1 making a total of eight suites.
Business class features a fully-flat bed, with a "150 per cent larger" slide out table. Named "ANA Business Staggered", the product will be configured in a staggered 1-2-1 layout (giving aisle access to all seats), with a total of 68 seats in the cabin.
The new fixed shell premium economy seat has a pitch of 42 inches (up from 38), as well an iPod connection, USB port, 12-inch TV screen, and two privacy dividers. Congiguration is 2-4-2, with a total of 24 seats in the cabin.
Economy will also have the advantage of a fixed shell design, with a pitch of 34 inches (up from 31), and will be configured 2-4-3, with 112 seats in the cabin. Features include sliding headrests and footrests, adjustable in three angles.
All classes feature AVOD in-flight entertainment, and from April 2010 first and business class passengers will be able to order meals directly from their touchscreen TV. Washrooms in the premium cabins will also feature warm-water bidet-toilets, with ANA claiming to be the first airline to install such facilities.
The new cabins will debut on ANA's Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, due to go into service on the Tokyo-New York route from February 20, 2010, before being rolled out on "other Europe and America routes". including Tokyo-Frankfurt and Tokyo-London duting the 2010 fiscal year. It will operate between Tokyo and New York on alternate days in February and March, with the flight operation after this date still to be confirmed.
