Emirates is set to launch non-stop flights between Dubai and San Francisco commencing October 26, the fourth US destination for Dubai's national airline.

Services will be operated by special long-range B777-200s in a three-class 266-seat configuration. The flight distance is 8,100 miles which means that the flight time between Dubai and San Francisco is 16 hours and 15 hours 40 mins for the eastbound return sector.

Flight EK225 will depart Dubai at 0845 to arrive in San Francisco the same day at 1345 (retimed to 1300 on and after November 2). Return flight EK226 will leave San Francisco at 1645 (1545 from November 2) to reach Dubai at 1925 the next day.

San Francisco will be the fifth new destination which Emirates has introduced this year.  The airline launched flights to Cape Town on March 30 and will commence services to Calicut India and Guangzhou China on July 1. On September 1 Emirates will begin serving Los Angeles.
