High-speed rail operator Eurostar is to offer a quiet coach on all of its services from this September.
Passengers boking Business or Standard Premier tickets from May 31, for travel from September 11, will be able to choose a seat in a quiet coach at the time of booking (subject to availability), at no extra cost.
Eurostar says it is introducing the service “in direct response to customer requests for the option of a quieter environment in which to work or wind down during their journey”.
The moves comes as Eurostar is due to start refurbishing its existing fleet of trains from this September, with the first revamped carriages coming on line in early 2013, followed by the arrival of a fleet of new E320 trains from mid-2014.
