Etihad lounge to open at Heathrow T4
Published: 04/06/2009 - Filed under: News »
Etihad will unveil a new lounge at Heathrow Terminal 4 later this year. Development of the facility is being project-managed by McBains Cooper, the firm responsible for the newly-opened Skyteam lounge at T4.
Construction of the new facility is already underway, with a completion date of August, although the lounge will not actually open until Etihad switches to T4 from its present base in T3.
The 600-sqm facility will be situated in the lower level of the former BA lounge at T4, the upper two floors having been taken over by the new Skyteam lounge (see online news June 1 for more details).
Features of the new lounge will include washrooms with shower facilities, a spa, a family room, bar and restaurant areas, wifi internet access, and a VIP area.
Aside from the Skyteam and Etihad lounges, McBains Cooper is also project-managing the development of the new Gulf Air lounge at Heathrow, due to be unveiled next year.
