Etihad and MAS sign reciprocal FFP agreement
Published: 14/11/2011 - Filed under: News »
Members of Malaysia Airlines’ Enrich scheme and the Etihad Guest programme can now earn and burn miles across the networks of both carriers.
The frequent flyer programme agreement builds on the existing codeshare partnership between the two airlines, with reciprocal earning and redemptions rights now in place.
Etihad Airways is not currently a member of any of the three major airline alliances, while MAS is set to join Oneworld next year (see online news June 6).
Etihad recently announced a similar reciprocal FFP agreement with American Airlines (see online news October 18), and launched its revamped Etihad Guest scheme in October (see online news September 27).
