Eos announces London-Dubai service

Eos has announced the launch of daily flights from London to Dubai, and a new service from Stansted to New York Newark.

The airline says it will begin flying daily from London Stansted to Dubai International Airport on July 6 this year. The flights will compete with rival all-business class carrier Silverjet (based in Luton), which started a daily service to Dubai in November, (see online news September 19, 2007). Details of prices and flight timings have yet to be released, but the carrier says it will begin issuing tickets for the service next month.

Meanwhile, Eos has also announced a daily London Stansted-New York Newark service, to add to its existing 44 flights between Stansted and JFK. The new route will start on May 5, shortly after American Airlines begins its second daily flight between Stansted and JFK, on April 7.

AA’s two-class service on the route offers 30 angled lie-flat seats in business class (as opposed to the all-business class offering onboard Eos with 48 fully flat beds), but of course the former has advantages in terms of connections in the US, and the strength of its frequent flyer programme. Tickets for Eos Airlines' Newark route will be available from mid-February.
