Emirates is launching its own private jet service as it seeks to capture the lucrative high-end executive market.

The service, called Emirates Executive, is served by an Airbus A319 that can seat up to 19 passengers.

The aircraft is configured into two main areas - the first, at the front, is a dining and executive lounge that can seat up to 12 people. It has two large sofas, four "mechanically-activated" tables and two 42 inch high-definition televisions.

The second section houses ten private suites, each featuring a fully flat seat, a 32 inch HD television and a shower.

Customers can now book the service online at emirates-executive.com. The website allows customers to "start their journey" via a request form that lets them design a travel experience that meets their specifications.

Adnan Kazim, the airline's divisional senior VP - planning, aeropolitical and industry affairs, said: "Emirates Executive elevates the high standards and quality of Emirates that our customers have come to expect, with the flexibility and luxury that can only be offered by a private chartered flight.

"We have seen an increasing demand in the private travel segment, especially in the Middle East and Europe as well as in markets such as India, Russia and China, and with Emirates Executive and the launch of its website, we are looking to tap into this niche market with the high-quality of service and attention to detail associated with Emirates."
