Emirates launches codeshare with Bangkok Airways

5 Aug 2015 by BusinessTraveller

Emirates has signed a new codeshare agreement with Bangkok Airways, adding 19 routes and 14 new destinations to the Emirates network.

The partnership sees Emirates place its code onto Bangkok Airways routes from Bangkok Suvranabhumi, Phuket, Kuala Lumpur and Singapore, to destinations including Koh Samui and Chiang Mai in Thailand, Siem Reap in Cambodia, and Yangon and Mandalay in Myanmar.

Emirates customers travelling on Bangkok Airways services will be entitled to the same luggage allowance as on the Emirates-operated sections of their journey.

Emirates currently operates six daily services between Dubai and Bangkok, three with the A380 and three with B777-300ER aircraft. From December 1 this will change to four A380 services and two with the B777-300ER (see news July 2015).
