Emirates gets second A380
Published: 23/10/2008 - Filed under: News »
Emirates has taken delivery of its second A380 superjumbo, which will enter service on the Dubai-JFK route from October 27.
The new aircraft will join Emirates’ first A380 on the Dubai-New York route, meaning the carrier will serve JFK daily with the superjumbo (its second daily flight will continue to be served by a Boeing 777-300ER).
From December 1 Emirates will ply the London Heathrow-Dubai route with the A380, followed by Australian destinations starting next year. For the lowdown on the Emirates A380 aircraft, see online news July 28, and for a review of the business class seating available on the superjumbo, click here.
