Delta to get $1.2bn facility at JFK Terminal 4

11 Aug 2010 by BusinessTraveller

Delta Air Lines has unveiled plans for a $1.2bn hub at JFK’s Terminal 4, with construction due to start in September.

The new facility will be managed  by JFK International Air Terminal, owned by Schiphol USA, and will feature an expanded concourse B within the terminal, nine new international gates, a new passenger connector between Terminal 2 (where Delta operates the majority of its domestic flights) and Terminal 4, and expanded baggage claim and Customer and Border Protection areas.

Construction of the project is due to start next month, with Delta scheduled to relocate its international Terminal 3 operations to the new facility when stage 1 is completed in May 2013.
