Delta offers $45 helicopter transfers

10 Sep 2008 by Mark Caswell

Until the end of October Delta is offering economy passengers one-way helicopter transfers between New York JFK and Manhattan for just $45, instead of the normal $159.

The US carrier already provides complimentary one-way helicopter transfers through US Helicopters, for business class passengers travelling to or from JFK. But over the next month or so domestic and international economy passengers can take advantage of a discounted rate on transfers between the airport and heliports in midtown and downtown Manhattan.

The US$49 one-way offer (plus taxes) represents a US$110 saving on the usual fare, and is valid for tickets purchased on a DL code on B, M or H fares, for domestic and international flights originating or terminating at the heliports via JFK. Tickets must be purchased before October 31, 2008 for travel by the same date.
