Delta Air Lines now offers a fully-flat seat in the Business Elite cabin on all its aircraft that fly between Germany and the US.
The carrier has just implemented its new fully-flat seats on flights between Dusseldorf and Atlanta, the last Delta route between Germany and the US to have the seating fitted.
The move means Delta now offers over 3,000 fully-flat seats per week between the two countries.
Perry Cantarutti, Delta's senior vice president Europe, Middle East and Africa, said: "Germany is an important part of our transatlantic network and I am delighted that we can now offer our frequent business travellers full flat-bed seats on all our services from Germany, including Dusseldorf.
"The design of Delta's new Business Elite seats optimises each passenger's space, giving them privacy to work or relax in order to arrive at their destination ready for a day's business."
The airline's Business Elite cabin has forward-facing seats that convert to a 180-degree fully flat-bed with direct aisle access in a 1-2-1 configuration. Each features a 10.6-inch screen, a 110v AC power source and USB port.
Last month, Delta redesigned its Business Elite meal service to give passengers more sleep time, particularly on eastbound transatlantic services (see news, October 16).
