Crowne Plaza London Heathrow completes renovation programme
Published: 04/10/2007 - Filed under: News »
Crowne Plaza's London Heathrow property has seen its public areas renovated at a cost of £1.5 million. The hotel's reception, lobby, bar and restaurant have all undergone refurbishment.
Additional check-in desks have been added to the reception, along with a dedicated desk for Priority Club members, and the hotel's main restaurant has been revamped under the name "Orwell's Brasserie and Bar". The new eatery offers modern British cuisine in a space where "rich dark panelling interweaves with light clean tones, creating a stylish yet informal atmosphere". The accompanying Orwell's Bar offers Starbuck's coffee by day, and a cocktail bar menu after 5pm.
The latest renovation follows the recent refurbishment of the hotel's health and fitness club, which features a 16sqm swimming pool, spa bath, gym, sauna and steam room.
The Crowne Plaza Heathrow is located around two miles from the airport. For a full rundown of hotels in and around Heathrow see the April 2006 edition of Business Traveller.
