Continental adds Lagos to Dreamliner network

Continental will commence flights between Houston and the Nigerian city of Lagos next year. The daily service is the second Dreamliner route announced by the carrier, joining the forthcoming Houston-Auckland service.
Flights are due to start on November 10, 2011, departing Houston at 1545 and arriving in Lagos at 0940 the next day. The return leg will leave Nigeria at 1110, landing back in Houston at 1640.
It will be Continental’s first African destination, and the first route between Houston and Africa by any carrier. As things stand it will also be the first international service to be operated by the carrier’s Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft, as the Houston-Auckland route is not due to commence until a few days later on November 16, 2011.
Tickets for the new route will go on sale later this year, with the aircraft configured for 36 Business First and 192 economy seats.
