Previously known as the Five Lakes Hotel, Golf and Country Club, the refurbished property has been rebranded under IHG’s Crowne Plaza offering, and is now known as the Crowne Plaza Resort Colchester – Five Lakes.

The four-star hotel is situated about eight miles south of Colchester in the Essex countryside, and around 25 miles south east of London Stansted airport.
Features include 194 guest rooms, 11 meeting rooms, a swimming pool, gym, tennis and squash courts, spa facilities, a cocktail bar, fine dining fish restaurant Catch 22 and Brasserie 1 serving traditional British and European cuisine.
The property also has extensive golf facilities, with two 18-hole parkland courses, three practice putting courses and a floodlit driving range.
Coclhester is one of the fastest growing towns in the UK, according to recent data from the Office for National Statistics.
