China Southern moves forward B787 service to LHR

16 Aug 2013 by GrahamSmith

China Southern will begin deploying a Boeing 787 on its Guangzhou to London Heathrow route almost seven weeks earlier than originally planned.

The Dreamliner will now start to operate the thrice weekly service from September 10. It had previously scheduled this to begin on October 27, reports airlineroute.net.

As previously reported, China Southern will place a B787 on its daily Guangzhou to Auckland route on October 28 (see online news, July 22). This service is scheduled to increase to ten times weekly by February next year.

Both routes are currently operated by an Airbus A330-200.

The Skyteam member launched its London Heathrow route in June last year (see online news, February 2012).
