The 1,021-room Park Plaza Westminster Bridge is nearing the end of its soft-opening phase, with the unveiling of its restaurants including Brasserie Joel, headed up by Fench chef Joel Antunes.

The brasserie is open nightly for dinner, with a menu that changes daily and includes “a wide range of bistro favourites such as traditional steak tartar, freshly made fish soup, homemade pork terrine, hand-dived scallops, sea bass in papillote, and tournedos rossini in truffle sauce”. Main courses range from £12 to £28.

Antunes was previously chef and partner of Les Saveurs, a Michelin-starred restaurant in London’s Mayfair, and more recently was consulting chef on the opening of the Oak Room at The Plaza in New York.

Park Plaza Westminster Bridge entered its soft opening phase earlier this year, and most of the hotel’s facilities are now up and running, aside from the spa and swimming pool, and the top suite categories, which are due to open later in the summer.

The 15-storey hotel is located on London’s South Bank with views of Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament, and features a total of 1,021 bedrooms, 31 meeting spaces, and a range of eating options including Brasserie Joel, Ichi Sushi and Sashimi Bar, Primo Bar, and an Illy coffee bar.

Brasserie Joël is open from 5.30pm to 10:30pm nightly. For more information visit brasseriejoel.co.uk.
