Bmi doubles services to Riyadh

Bmi is rejigging its services to Saudi Arabia, upping its flights to Riyadh to six times per week, but downgrading the London-Jeddah route to a one-stop service.

The changes, which take effect on January 15 next year, will see the carrier double its Heathrow-Riyadh service by adding flights on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. This means Bmi will ply the route every day of the week except Friday.

The move means that Bmi’s direct flights to Jeddah from London (which currently operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays) will be changed to a one-stop service via Riyadh. The Monday, Wednesday and Saturday flights to Riyadh will continue to connect on to Dammam, the capital of Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province.

Flights to Saudi Arabia are served with Airbus A330 aircraft in a two-class configuration, with 42 angled lie-flat business class seats and 156 economy seats. Timings for the new schedule will be announced shortly.
