British Airways will trial an online pre-flight meal selection service on some of its routes.
The carrier will allow passengers travelling long-haul in First and Club World to pre-select their food choices from the inflight menu before they arrive at the airport.
It is thought the trial will take place later this year although no firm dates have been set.
A BA spokesman told Business Traveller: "We are always looking at ways to enhance our catering and give our customers more choice.
"We plan to run a trial on a small number of routes, to offer customers travelling in First and Club World the opportunity to pre-select their menu choices in advance of their flight."
Earlier this week, BA suspended its flights to Liberia and Sierra Leone due to the ebola outbreak in both countries (see news, August 5).
