All Nippon Airways will gradually roll-out enhanced and new in-flight services from September.

The carrier will also begin flying aircraft with the tagline "Inspiration of Japan" and the national Japanese flag both painted on the side from late August.

The first in-flight service enhancement to be launched in September will be a catering project called The Connoisseurs.

ANA tagline

ANA describes this as a "meal team composed of ten renowned chefs, five beverage specialists and nine of ANA's own catering chefs". The team will produce a range of meals and drinks for both international and domestic flights.

On the airline's long-haul services, First and Business passengers will receive new bedding "using the latest Japanese innovative technologies" and courtesy of manufacturer Tokyo Nishikawa.

ANA is introducing bed pads in Business for the first time, although only on B777-300ER and B787-8 flights equipped with its staggered seating.

Business passengers will also receive a new amenity kit filled with L'Occitane products.

Last week, the airline announced it will increase capacity on its Yangon and Chengdu routes later this year (see online news, July 24).
