Starwood is to finally open its first European Aloft hotel at the start of next month, and the group has uploaded You Tube video tours of the room facilities.

The property was originally announced in early 2007, and had been due to open in 2009 (see online news March 14, 2007), but will now officially open its doors on September 1.

Aloft Brussels Schuman is located on Rue Belliard, within walking distance of the European Parliament buildings, and close to Schuman rail and metro station. The hotel features 147 “loft-inspired” rooms, all with 42-inch flatscreen TVs, free wifi internet access and media panels for guests to plug in their iPods and laptops.

Facilities include Aloft’s signature Re:fuel snack shop, offering salads, sandwiches, crisps and drinks 24 hours per day; wxyz bar featuring live DJs, cocktails, video walls and a “snack-attack” menu; and the  re:charge fitness centre and splash pool. There are also three meeting rooms, with facilities including free wifi and a 52-inch plasma screen TV.

Ahead of the opening Aloft has launched an official You Tube page, with video tours of the property’s room facilities, and the hotel also has its own facebook page at facebook.com/aloftbrusselsschuman.

Aloft Brussels Schuman is now taking reservations for stays from September 1, with rates starting from €75.
