Air France cuts LHR-LAX business class fares

The US Open Skies agreement may still be a number of weeks away but Los Angeles-bound passengers are already reaping the benefits.
Air France has begun marketing a business class fare for its daily non-stop flights from London Heathrow to Los Angeles, which are due to start on March 30.
For travel during April, Air France is currently charging £1,800 return in business class for flights which do not require a Saturday-night stay. Tickets cannot be refunded but changes can be made for £200.
Rivals British Airways and Virgin Atlantic also have attractive fares but these have minimum-stay restrictions. If your trip does not include a Saturday, then both will charge £5,649 for a business class return.
Air France is operating a three-class B777 for its new service out of Heathrow, starting on March 30. Business class is expected to be configured with the carrier’s angled lie-flat seating, which is disposed seven across (2-3-2).
Several Business Traveller readers have asked if this plane will be operating a Paris CDG-Heathrow leg, to position itself for the Los Angeles sector. But in fact, the B777 will work the routing: Paris CDG-Los Angeles-Heathrow-Los Angeles-Paris CDG.
Flight schedules are:
AF060 Heathrow-Los Angeles 1700-2015
AF061 Los Angeles-Heathrow 2025-1440
